Mkomazi National Park

Positioned on the northern border with Kenya and adjacent to Tsavo National Park, Mkomazi National Park is a vital part of the migratory corridor for herds of elephants and other animals. It spans about 3,245 square kilometers and is a sanctuary for the critically endangered black rhinoceros and African wild dogs, which are part of breeding programs within the park. Its semi-arid climate, dominated by savannah and acacia woodlands, makes it a prime area for bird watching, with over 450 species recorded.
