Saadani National Park
Unique for its coastal location, Saadani National Park offers an unusual blend of both beach and bush. Covering 1,100 square kilometers along the coast of the Indian Ocean, Saadani is where the beach meets the bush. The park includes a diverse range of habitats, including mangrove forests, riverine areas, and savannahs. Wildlife in Saadani includes elephants, lions, and giraffes, which can occasionally be seen basking on the park’s beaches. It is also one of the few breeding sites for the green turtle.
